HeartBit is a sensor-based intervention to probe children’s heart rate (HR) in beats per minute (BPM) during creativity and critical thinking feed. The goal is to take a step forward in introducing an educational intervention that assists educating both children and teachers in observing children’s HR in cognitive contexts. Python and a custom wireless protocol (based on TCP) were used to develop HeartBit, which consists of an HR sensor, a micro-controller, a private wireless network, and a computer to gather HR data.
