Participatory Diary is a digital logbook or record exhibiting participatory communications and interactions of both humans and computers. This installation is comprised of a digital wall display that presents a human’s thoughts and computer’s response for a given topic. A human’s response is input via their personal digital device and the response of a computer is generated via machine learning. Other exhibition participants can then compare both human and computer’s responses that are displayed on dialog boxes on the digital wall display. While multiple humans can participate in a more complex communications and interactions with the computer, it extends further reflections on human-computer integration.
